Kynlie's Blessing

Last weekend me and my family once again made the long trek down to Vegas to see Kynlie's baby blessing.  The car ride, as always, came fully equipped with delicious munchies, good company, good music, and of course a nice chat with the highway patrol! These trips to Vegas wouldn't be as memorable without the flashing lights in the rear view mirror! As my niece Brooklyn loves to tell everyone "Uncle Nathan loves talking to policemen!" 

Kynlie looked absolutely gorgeous all in white, and Jason gave a beautiful blessing.  Afterwords we all headed back to the house for some more good food, and good company.  We made some delicious homemade granola to go with fruit and yogurt.  As Lindsay would say, "it was so refreshing! :)"  We also made some yummy egg casseroles.  It was a perfect day!  I couldn't resist stealing her away and cuddling with her for a while!

 Perfect baby, beautiful blessing, amazing company, wonderful weather, scrumptious food... I mean, what else could one ask for?

While we were there, we also got the chance to celebrate both Lindsay and Jason's birthdays.  The kids spent all morning making them birthday cards, and drawing them pictures.  And of course, no birthday is complete without the appropriate headwear!! 

It was a really fun weekend, and really hard to leave to come back home.  Everytime I have to leave, I think it becomes a little harder.  I thought it was supposed to get easier after a while?!  But who wouldn't have a hard time saying goodbye to these beautiful faces!
